Photographic Service
RATES FOR REPRODUCING IMAGES
BASIC TARIFF OF DIGITIZATION
Image reproductions are made from scanned files of 300 dpi and 8 x 10 inches. The fees are as follows:
- $ 20 per image (production costs);
- administrative fees ($ 5 in Canada and $ 10 outside Canada);
- applicable taxes.
If necessary, we will also add:
- user fees;
- digital support costs;
- priority processing fees.

Presentation to the general public and publication in a specialized publication | Not applicable | If you plan to present the images to the general public in a museum or interpretation center, on a poster or an explanatory plaque or on a heritage or educational website, you do not have to pay a user fee. If you want to publish the images in a scholarly publication or under the umbrella of a non-profit organization, you do not have to pay user fees. However, we ask you to clearly indicate the name of the Abenaki Museum as a source of the image and to specify the number of the photograph in question. | |
Commercial publication | $ 10.00 per image | User fees are required to reproduce images of the Abenaki Museum in a book or magazine, as well as on a CD or DVD-ROM. When you purchase an image for this type of publication, you will receive a non-exclusive license that provides for one-time use in every community in the world and every language. | |
Use for audiovisual or other commercial purposes | Between $ 50.00 and $ 100.00 per image, subject to authorization from the Musée des Abénakis | User fees are required to reproduce images of the Abenaki Museum in a video clip or film. Fees are also required to use the Abenaki Museum’s images in public areas, ads, commercial websites or items for sale such as a calendar, a mug, a postcard, a T-shirt, etc. | |

Priority treatment | A 25% fee will be added to orders over $ 100.00 and C $ 25.00 for orders under $ 100.00. | The Abenaki Museum will process “urgent orders” within 2 business days of receiving the order. These orders will be shipped with Canada Post’s regular service unless otherwise specified. Priority courier shipping charges will be billed to the customer. The Abenaki Museum could refuse to offer priority treatment to orders considered too large. |
